06/28 Eco Adventure Camp – Three Rivers

Eco-Adventure Camp – Three Rivers
Paddle and explore the natural and cultural history of three rivers in Virqinia. Paddle a five-mile section of the Nottoway River,
part of the Chowan watershed, to experience a premier, coastal black water river with towering cypress and tupelo gum trees, resurrection ferns and banks of marine fossils. Next, head to the Piedmont to paddle a six-mile stretch of the James River near James River State Park. Part of the James River watershed, this section features riffles and small rapids along with clear pools to explore for macroinvertebrates. On the third day, paddle eight miles on the South Fork Shenandoah River, part of the Potomac River watershed. Kayak the meandering river, bordered by the Massanutten and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
