week series of courses, students will learn about bird calls, life history
and bird adaptations. They’ll also spend time looking for birds in the

02/07 Evergreens in Winter

Evergreens in Winter  
What makes an evergreen tree different from other trees? What is a conifer and what shape is it? Let’s explore these special trees while painting with pine needles, making Cheerio garlands, having “Show-N- Tell” with sprigs of evergreens and pine cones brought from home, and learning “Big & Little” and “Prickly & Tickly.” For ages 3-5 years and a parent or guardian.

Nature Printmaking

04/10 Bursting Buds

Bursting Buds!
How do you feel when you see flowers suddenly open up in sprinq? What colors do you notice in spring that you haven’t seen all winter? We will answer these and other questions as we explore Spring’s arrival on the trails at Rockwood Park. We will paint with nature objects, discover what is inside a bud and plant some seeds to take home. For ages 3-5 years and a parent or guardian.
