Do you like art and nature? Would you like to improve your artistic abilities? Join an artist to learn about different ways to look at your everyday surroundings and be inspired by nature to enhance your artistic skills. This will be a combination lecture and hands-on course where you will try new techniques and create some drawings. For ages 13 and older.

Taking a walk through the woods is a great way to find your artistic muse! We will wander through the trails of Rockwood Park observing, identifying, and perceiving differences in the leaves of the trees as inspiration before heading back to the classroom to create a leaf-inspired pinch pot. For ages 12 and older.

04/8 Bursting Buds

Bursting Buds!
How do you feel when you see flowers suddenly open up in spring? What colors do you notice in spring that you haven’t seen all winter? We will answer these and other questions as we explore the arrival of spring on the trails of Rockwood Park. We will paint with nature objects, discover what is inside a bud, and plant some seeds to take home! For ages 3-5 years and a parent or guardian.
